summer holidays

Whoever decided that it was a good idea for schools to have 6 weeks off every summer obviously didn’t have children. Despite my best efforts to tame the piggies with things to do and places to go, they appear to be developing cabin fever. I can’t get all three of them to behave at once.

Today we’re going to the petshop. I need to get some stuff for the kitty,  but also the piggies will have the opportunity to oooh and aaaah at the small creatures before it descends into chaos with one of them demanding a rat and another one needing a poo. Happy days!

piggy pig flu

Last week I had swine flu. It was horrid and I was in bed for 4 days. For ages now I have been saying that I would dearly love to be able to spend the day in bed watching DVD’s. I can now safely say that after doing so, and after watching both season 5 and 6 of “24″, I have no wish to do so again. I love Jack Bauer, he saw me through the dark days haha.

Because of said pig virus, I had to have the last week of my placement off. I have really loved it so much, so that was a shame. I have 6 weeks holiday now and then go back to that placement for 4 weeks before starting my third and final year. I applied to switch from the diploma to the degree. Although it means that I will be even poorer than I am now, it is something that I really wanted to do. I got accepted which is ace :) …have to start thinking about dissertation subjects now..I have a few ideas but any suggestions gratefully received!

Last week I got my first tattoo. I was really scared like a big fat baby, but it didn’t hurt atall (although admittedly I had insisted on a generous helping of numbing cream). I am really pleased with it, and am planning on getting another one. The one I have is Victoria Plum (due to my obsession with all things fairy tale), and I am going to get her little friend Ben the pixie on the other leg.

Here tis see:
